SACRILEGION

Sacrilegion was formed in 1994, out of Crematorium's second line-up minus their main man-Ronald Enriquez because of his drug problems. Sacrilegion's original line-up was; Bong Carriño on guitars/vocals, Ronaldo Gojar on bass, and Mike Malvar on drums. 6 months later, Ronald returned as the main man. Ronaldo Gojar was then replaced by Henry Reyes, and another guitarist - Marlon Malgapo, added. This line-up lasted for almost a year, and then, when the group called "Sacrilege" disbanded, it's main man Banjo Clemente joined in to replace Enriquez. Reyes was replaced by Joseph Parangue on bass and Malgapo was replaced by Podz Mallari on guitars. This line-up lasted until 1997 when the band had been temporarily disbanded, until Cariño reformed it in 1998 as a 3 piece outfit with Edward (Corrupt Insanity/Guardian's Crucifix) on bass, and Melvin Reyes on drums.The line-up hardly lasted a year because of Cariño's drug problems. But the story never stops here... Thanks to Guardian's Crucifix; another metal act, who managed to preserve the atmosphere of it's songs by covering some of Sacrilegion's original pieces in their gigs. When the Guardian's Crucifix disbanded in 2003, through the tireless effort and genius of it's guitarist - Marko Ocampo, merged their members with Guardians' Erwin Guinto on vocals and Elmer Glino on drums... Sacrilegion was then reborn and played at the scene once again. Parangue left the band's bass position, then sessionists filled in to play for other gigs like Alvin (Mortal Fear/Sin) and Edward (Corrupt..). After lacking with the heavy artillery, Cavite metal act - Whorelocke's lady bassist; Angela Ocampo filled the empty spot.After more than a year of playing, Angela had to take rest from playing after giving birth. She was then replaced by a slinky player, Dante.... and the band played on. We have just turned 14 years old playing this kind of music, some pieces are changed because of the evolution in metal music itself (for younger ears), yet some pieces remain unchanged because of our great deal of hate against our country's music industry controlled by politics and the system as a whole, and against the need of our co-breeders(metalheads)
